Blue Monday

Hopefully not so blue in the long rong run but the morning has started rather interestingly yes. My car is playing tricks on me again. Anyhow, I wore this beautiful jumpsuit last week actually. And how amazing is this colour?! Plus the cape in the back? And well, it`s a jumpsuit, so I was hooked from the beginning. I wore quite high heels that day, so I must have been around 2 meters tall. And one of the comments I got that day was that "her legs are so long it looks like they are growing out of her throat". I`ll take it as a compliment...

Well, I have a few sunny outfit posts coming to you on these rainy days. Seems like autumn is really here. Although the idea of staying in and reading books and watching movies, drinking hot tea in bed sounds good... I miss summer already! But in the meantime, here is another outfit post from Riga. I don`t think I have ever worn this much colour in my life, as I have this summer. Don`t get me wrong, black is still my number one and only love, but I guess my personality is also growing in weird ways and it feels good to express myself in colours.

We also made a quick stop in Jurmala. I can`t really give you any recommendations on that part though, as we stayed there for one night only. But we stayed at the Villa Joma Hotel and liked it a lot, that I can recommend. It`s a small boutique hotel with a great location (probably the best location actually), the service was very friendly and excellent, plus you must love eating a breakfast out in the terrace. Other than that, we just took the time chill, walk around, sunbathe, eat at random places, hence I can`t give you any recommendations about restaurants. It sure did not feel like summer has almost ended. But looking at how quiet it actually was in the evening time, I think the season is over there. Oh well, see you again next year Jurmala!

A good quick getaway. Must love Riga, a 4 hour drive (time flies when you are with these girls) and boom, you are there. Good restaurants, great shops, beautiful Old Town and friendly people. In my opinion the easieast getaway and the cheapest if you choose wisely. As for some recommendations... Definitely choose a hotel in the Old Town area, they are not expensive and some of them offer parking too. Restaurants to visit would be Riviera - great seafood, Biblioteka - good food and great atmosphere, Koya and Aqua Luna.
Here are some shots taken with my phone, outfit photos will follow.
Great atmosphere at Sezona! Right in the Old Town and a very lovely place, definitely worth a visit.

Yes, that is one of the Liina Stein amazing dresses on me... Happy girl! Unfortunately I just forgot to take pictures that evening but I will fix that mistake soon hopefully.

The beautiful Aqua Luna. It turns into a lounge/bar/nightclub with a dj from 10pm. Great location overlooking the river.

Beautiful views overlooking from the rooftop of Galleria Riga. There is a restaurant called Gan Bei up there (they are actually all over Riga) and it turned out to be also one of our favourites.

Shisha at Aqua Luna, A robbery but a good one (50euros for one shisha is way too much in my opinion but at that moment we did`nt care because of the good vibes).

The girls, my girls. A treasure to keep. When you find these kind of friends that you can share everything with and the connection is just overwhelming. Plus the one in the middle is a true comedian, my stomach still hurts from laughing. I am blessed with the best friends, the ones that are away and the ones that came from childhood but are here to stay!

Pearly white

Must love a dress with a cape, right?! I do! It makes a statement on its own but add a colourful necklace and you have an eyecatching outfit. I got photographed from both sides yesterday in this. Plus I love my haircolour at the moment. Some people, my mom for instance, not so much. "Too grey" she says. Anyway, I`m off to Riga for a weekend getaway and will bring back lots of good memories and good photos hopefully too.

Maybe I should do a separate label here called Liina Stein. Because this is yet another one of her beautiful creations. And I can tell you I have more of these beauties coming. I swear to god, every time I go to her studio I get the feeling like she designs exactly for me. But about this amazing dress... how perfect is the fabric? The sleeves? Just everything! As soon as I tried it on, I knew, I was sold. And seems like everyone else loves it as much as I do, all I heard yesterday when wearing it was "oh my god, I want this dress, you look like a princess, the fabric is lovely etc" (plus one weird proposal on becoming lovers...). The pictures don`t do it justice... anyone interested in becoming my photographer? :)

Welcome to Kihnu

This is such a cliche but sometimes you just can`t stop to wonder how wonderful this country actually is. I had never been to Kihnu but this was definitely not my last time there. Can`t wait to go back there. Time just seems to stop on this island. You start to appreciate the little things, see the beauty in everything and just feel joy. What an amazing feeling it is just to cruise around the island on a bike, not a single worry in your mind, except thinkg "do we really have to eat again already!?" and thats where the worries end. Falling a sleep under an open window listening to the crickets (thats actually bad, a sign of summer ending, but nahh, I actually love it), waking up to the rooster (nahh, did`nt hear that really myself, I have never slept so good as I did there).
So a few shots to share with you... Maybe some of this amazing feeling will come through.

Loving the expressions of these beautiful women. Some local singing and dancing. I highly recommend Kuraga. For accommodation I recommend Kastani.

Beautiful doll-like houses all around the island.

Definitely recommended for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Kihnu Küek The food is amazing and the host herself is very friendly and welcoming.

Time just stops on this beautiful island...

Ahh, I don`t want this summer to end. It feels like we just got it and now it`s already slipping away. I`m definitely a summer girl, wearing dresses and light clothes and beautiful shoes and ahhh... I definitely don`t like the idea of wearing boots and a coat (although I found myself a perfect coat, not mine yet, but if it will be, you will love it, a true eyecatcher).
But as long as we still have summer, I swear, I will only wear dresses and you will not see me in long pants!
I know this dress would have looked better with heels but since I have managed to injure my toes in a very bad way, wearing nothing else but very comfortable shoes, is not an option.

Must love

Still very much in love with this skirt. And well pretty much this 50`s style anyway (shhh, I already got a new one too). Can`t say the same about my hair.. this is pretty much my hairstyle (I`m not actually sure you can even call it style) everyday. But very comfortable nevertheless.

A lot of Liina Stein here lately. But I just love her designs that much! Aonther perfect summer dress. And yes, I am still hooked with maxi dresses and skirts. Wearing one now at work aswell. They are just comfortable and most of the time look very chic!
