March

Just love those days when you can feel spring in the air! It´s easier to tolerate this everlasting winter when you can travel but since I have`nt....
I think I`m just hybernating. The energy level was as low as it can get. Getting up in the morning has become a challenge on it`s own and don`t get me wrong, I like going to work and once I`m there, it`s perfectly ok, but just the effort of getting my damn ass out of bed... I could make a weird comedy of myself in the mornings. But life comes back with sunshine! And dreams of travelling and wearing something other than layers.... I am definitely not one of those people who love to layer.

2016

Well, I`ve been one bad blogger. Coming out of my Christmas-coma has been hard too. But I must admit, one of the best holidays ever, just pure relaxation and quality time with my family. If I would have made new years resolutions then maybe one should have been about blogging but since I did`nt make any... And I know I can`t be persistant right now because taking pictures when there is daylight only for 2 hours is a challenge for an office worker. Plus dressing interestingly enough that it would actually require taking pictures... that`s a whole different story. These days I roam around in this fluffy thing because it just keeps me warm. Anyhow, I hope 2016 is more awesome than 2015 and I hope to see you here more frequently!

But when there is daylight... it`s magical!

Autumn at it`s finest

No glamour here this time. Just life. And good times. Every now and then I need to get away from the city. To stop and take in some fresh air and be reminded what really matters in life. Plus it helps to have a grandmother that cuckoo in the head, always so much fun there! Plus the weather was super nice and made me actually fall in love with autumn more. Not a bad time of the year to have a birthday!

My first time making fresh apple juice that way. Actually loved it. The question is, who is going to drink all that juice!?

Our last bbq and sitting outside.

Hapsal Dietrich

The upcoming weekends weather is promising to be pretty nice, so my suggestion is to grab some friends and drive out of town. At least that`s what I like to do when I have a free weekend. And we did exactly that some time ago. A short day-trip to Haapsalu. Must love that little town. Beautiful, peaceful and harmonious. Also, many great restaurants there. So here is a suggestion to you. They are closing for the winter so this week/weekend is the last chance of visiting them. And Hapsal Dietrich is worth a visit. When we went there, we still got to sit outside on the terrace, so a perfect end to the summer. The service is very friendly and the food is delicious and very reasonably priced.
Pulled pork with white radish, cabbage, yogurt, parsnip (9 eur). The first bites were oh so yum, but halfway through I started missing something, I don`t know exactly what, was it potatoes or something else but the flavour combination got tiring, But all in all still delicious.

Fresh fish of the day (7,50 eur). Very very delicious!

Mussels with white wine and garlic (9 eur). Also very good, I am a huge mussels fan and this was very good. We also had beef tartare and it was also delicious. So not a single bad word about the food!
My good company. Just had to share this picture because of the emotions. My girls!

Riga

A good quick getaway. Must love Riga, a 4 hour drive (time flies when you are with these girls) and boom, you are there. Good restaurants, great shops, beautiful Old Town and friendly people. In my opinion the easieast getaway and the cheapest if you choose wisely. As for some recommendations... Definitely choose a hotel in the Old Town area, they are not expensive and some of them offer parking too. Restaurants to visit would be Riviera - great seafood, Biblioteka - good food and great atmosphere, Koya and Aqua Luna.
Here are some shots taken with my phone, outfit photos will follow.
Great atmosphere at Sezona! Right in the Old Town and a very lovely place, definitely worth a visit.

Yes, that is one of the Liina Stein amazing dresses on me... Happy girl! Unfortunately I just forgot to take pictures that evening but I will fix that mistake soon hopefully.

The beautiful Aqua Luna. It turns into a lounge/bar/nightclub with a dj from 10pm. Great location overlooking the river.

Beautiful views overlooking from the rooftop of Galleria Riga. There is a restaurant called Gan Bei up there (they are actually all over Riga) and it turned out to be also one of our favourites.

Shisha at Aqua Luna, A robbery but a good one (50euros for one shisha is way too much in my opinion but at that moment we did`nt care because of the good vibes).

The girls, my girls. A treasure to keep. When you find these kind of friends that you can share everything with and the connection is just overwhelming. Plus the one in the middle is a true comedian, my stomach still hurts from laughing. I am blessed with the best friends, the ones that are away and the ones that came from childhood but are here to stay!

Welcome to Kihnu

This is such a cliche but sometimes you just can`t stop to wonder how wonderful this country actually is. I had never been to Kihnu but this was definitely not my last time there. Can`t wait to go back there. Time just seems to stop on this island. You start to appreciate the little things, see the beauty in everything and just feel joy. What an amazing feeling it is just to cruise around the island on a bike, not a single worry in your mind, except thinkg "do we really have to eat again already!?" and thats where the worries end. Falling a sleep under an open window listening to the crickets (thats actually bad, a sign of summer ending, but nahh, I actually love it), waking up to the rooster (nahh, did`nt hear that really myself, I have never slept so good as I did there).
So a few shots to share with you... Maybe some of this amazing feeling will come through.

Loving the expressions of these beautiful women. Some local singing and dancing. I highly recommend Kuraga. For accommodation I recommend Kastani.

Beautiful doll-like houses all around the island.

Definitely recommended for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Kihnu Küek The food is amazing and the host herself is very friendly and welcoming.

Time just stops on this beautiful island...

Hello August!

For the fun weekends... And back to reality! A very fun weekend left behind with my two girls, new people and new adventures! Can`t be more thankful than I am for the people in my life.
New adventures this week as I am going to Kihnu island, I have never been there so it should be fun. Must love discovering your home too! August, you have had a pretty good start!

It was just magical!

For the love of Malta...

So, the second post about Malta, containing mainly photos. Also, if you are there, try out the Argentinian steakhouse Meet! I had the Lomo 'Maradona' and it was superdelicious.
Watching these makes me want to go somewhere again. And soon! Already searching for new destinations and ideas. Where would you want to go?

St. Peter`s Pool. A short drive away is this beautiful natural pool (well, everything is a short drive away in Malta).

My bunny, my Maria!
Mdina. A very lovely, very historical town.

Every day view when walking back from the beach. Oh, how I miss this.

Malta

Since my beloved photographer lives in Malta for now, outfit posts will be more rare. But I have`nt shared with my Malta photos yet, I`ll fix this mistake right away! So what are my thoughts on Malta... I loved it! Of course one of the big reasons is because my Maria is there now but for other reasons too! It was lovely! Although very small (I think the farthermost sign I saw, was 23km and that was another island), it is very beautiful and it does not seem so small at all. A little rocky, there are only a few sandy beaches but you get used to the idea that sunbathing is done on a rocky surface quickly, plus there are many beachclub`s. Spending there a week is enough in my opinion, you can do a little sightseeing and sunbathing in that time with no problems. All in all for me it was a mixture of Italy, Spain and Israel for some reason. And yes, I definitely want to go back!
Happy Midsummer to everyone! Have fun!
Marsaxlokk. I think this was the highlight for me, there was just something magical about this little fishermans village. It was just so adorable! Rent a car and visit this little village for sure!
The food... Delicious! Lot`s of fresh seafood and the local Maltese food is worth tasting too!
The beautiful Blue Lagoon, this photo has no filter, so the water was actually this blue! You can take a boat to the Comine island and spend a few hours there sunbathing and exploring the caves (or maybe even a night, there is a hotel on the island aswell).
Spinola Bay, St. Julian`s. This is more or less where I stayed and as I have heard it is the best location to be at.
Exploring Valletta. You can`t help but fall in love with all of Malta!
The amazing Blue Lagoon, Comino.

My Barcelona vol 2

I`m back from Malta and ready for the next chapter! Before we can get to posts about my trip and other things, here is the second post about Barcelona. Can I please go back!? Right now? Oh for the love of travelling...

The very crowded La Rambla, still lonved it though!
